About

Wendy was born in Denver and formed deeply-imprinted memories of the mountains and deserts of Colorado, Nevada, and Utah before her family moved to the wilds of suburban New Jersey. She drew and painted constantly as a kid, eventually gained the privilege of teaching art to kids, and finally came back to the mountains, having inherited a yearning for the western sky, open space, and dry air from her transplanted Coloradan parents.

Along the way, Wendy exhibited and organized shows for students and fellow artists in the Hartford, Connecticut area at the SmallWalls Gallery, Travelers Insurance, Bushnell Theater, Gallows Hill Bookstore at Trinity College, Union Station, Tapestry Rose, Farmington Art Guild, River Rock Yoga, and Cathedral House at Christ Church Cathedral.

Wendy’s work has been seen more recently at RAW Artists/The Church in Denver, Sam’s No. 3 in Cherry Hills, and at 40 West Gallery in Lakewood, where she is a member. She works mostly at home where she lives with her brother and two cats, although she has ventured out to the fabulous Art Students League of Denver for classes with painter Robert Gratiot.

Wendy is the *image squirrel* for the weekly bulletins at her church in Littleton, where she can occasionally be heard playing the flute along with more talented and very kind professional musicians and a choir of angels.
