Small Works & Observations
Pastels are a lot like paints — but they go on dry, which is perfect for when you’re sitting in tall grass on a chilly autumn day, with a view of a magnificent, sunlit chestnut tree standing guard over a sweet, historic little graveyard.
Or when sheltering from the intense Colorado sunshine under an ancient juniper, humbly attempting to capture infinity in the form of towering red rock formations along the ancient seabed we call the Great Plains.
Views far and wide, or close-up and intimate — here are a few of my favorite things.
